Inquiry?
- Inquiry was founded in 2005 and is today the largest provider of premium estimates. Current coverage includes approximately 700 european companies. The focus is on quality and detail.
How often are the figures updated?
- 8 times per year, 4 times before report, 4 times after report.
- Mål att ny kvartalsdata ska vara inne 7 dagar innan rapport. Aim to have the new quarterly data available seven days before report.
Why 8 times per year?
- Data is updated before and after the report to ensure that all imcoming data points are comparable. Therefore, all estimates are updated at the same time.
For which markets is data available?
- Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Holland, Luxembourg, Belgium.
- A total of 700 companies, 240 Nordic.
Who uses Inquiry data?
- Approximately 70 major European companies use Inquiry data as part of their IR web page, such as BMW, Scania, Sandvik, Roche.
- Sell Side analysts such as Deutsche Bank, UBS, Helvea.
- Thomson Reuters journalists in 10 countries.
Who contributes with data to Inquiry?
- All major European companies, about 300 donors and 2 500 analysts
Why is not XXX included in the array of participants?
- Some quarters all firms do not have coverage or choose not to participate in the compilation. If data arrives that somehow seems wrong, it must be verified by the analyst according to internal rules. If the data cannot be verified, the person is excluded. All to ensure that the correct data will be included in the consensus figure.
FactSet/XXX has more participants, why?
- All incoming data is manually verified to ensure that everything included in the consensus figure is correct. This sometimes leads to fewer participants. Information obtained during previous quarters is never reused.
